NMS Fall Book Fair

Our fall Scholastic Book Fair will kick off on November 7th.  The book fair will be open for families to shop during the Parent/Teacher conferences that night.  Students will be allowed to shop the book fair during homeroom and with their scheduled time according to Language Arts classes.

Nov. 7- 7th grade Language Arts classes

Nov. 8- 6th grade Language Arts classes

Nov. 11- 8th grade Language Arts classes

Nov. 12- make up day for any student who wishes to shop

Feud for Food Drive

Our annual Feud for Food Drive will begin on October 28th.  Please view this link to find additional information about dress up days, donations, and other activities planned. We would love for all staff and students to participate! 

Last year we were able to collect 7,677 items. We believe we can surpass that amount this year!

Local schools fare well in launch of new 5-star accountability system

Overall Pulaski County school officials are pleased with the district's performance during the 2018-19 school year. 

"We again had another extremely successful year in student achievement," Pulaski County Schools Superintendent Patrick Richardson said, "even with a lot of changes and unknowns. Our teachers and staff work hard every day making sure our students and schools are the best they can be."

Five Kentucky public schools named 2019 Blue Ribbon winners

KDE Media Advisory (Frankfort, KY):  The U.S. Department of Education (USED) named give Kentucky public schools as 2019 National Blue Ribbon Schools, based on their overall academic excellence.   The five Kentucky schools and their districts are:  Barret Traditional Middle School - Jefferson County, East Valley Elementary School - Morgan County, Murray Elementary School - Murray Independent, Perryville Elementary School - Boyle County, and Shopville Elementary School - Pulaski County
